छेद में डंडा डारि कै, चहै नांद लै लेई.
Hindi Meaning (हिंदी अर्थ):
रहीम कहते हैं, चाक भी कुम्हार के माँगने पर, स्वयं दिया बना कर नहीं देता. परंतु, जब कुम्हार, चाक के छेद में डंडा डालकर उसे घुमाता है तो चाक; दीया तो क्या, विशाल घड़ा (नाँद) तक बनाकर दे देता है.
ऐसा ही दुर्जन या दुष्ट लोगों के साथ होता है. उन्हें नम्रता से पूँछी गई बात नहीं समझ आती. परंतु कठोर व्यवहार (प्रताड़ित) करने पर वह आपकी बात मानते या बता देते हैं.

English Meaning:
