यदि भाग्य, लोगों के हाथ अपने काबू में होता (मतलब अगर वे अपना भाग्य स्वयं तय कर पाते), तो वे किसी को भी अपने से बड़ा नहीं मानते.
भावार्थ:
यदि मनुष्य खुद अपना ईश्वर होता तो लाभ-हानि, जीवन-मृत्यु, यश-अपयश सबको अपने अनुसार नियंत्रित करता और किसी को भी अपने से बड़ा नहीं मानता. इसलिये ब्रह्मा ने मनुष्य को अपने से कमजोर बनाया है. शक्ति के साथ सज्जनता जरुरी है.

If one could have controlled his/ her own destiny, then they would have not accepted anyone else as superior than themselves.

If man was his own God then they would have controlled their profit and loss, life and death or fame and defame at their own. And they would have rejected anyone else being superior to them. That’s why God created man with lesser power then himself. Politeness (being gentle) is necessary with power.
